Criminal law is a principal focus of our representation. When a wrong is charged, in prosecutions these days, additional frivolous charges may be pressed by the prosecutor. That’s not right. When a conviction is obtained the sentence may be disproportionate to the alleged offense. Nor is that right. The worst case is when the prosecution is entirely frivolous, the client is innocent, and the only right answer is to fight for freedom, and to defend the client because there can be no justification for prosecuting an innocent person. We know how to use the tools of our craft to maximize the effectiveness of a client’s defense. We write clearly and quickly and have a lifetime of public speaking in and out of court to address the merits of our cause and client.
